CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON
The 'Friends of Ampthill's Christmas Lights' help raise money each year to assist with the putting up and taking down of the town's wonderful Christmas lights and they also organise the annual Switch on Event. The Town Council provides the Christmas tree on the Market Square. Contact Donna Searle on 01525 844171.

Annual garden party featuring Bethnal Green Big Band
As well as a good social occasion, we like to raise money for a good cause and this year is no exception. Ampthill Scouts are in desperate need of funds to renovate the scout hut in Station Road. Over 160 young people use the facilities each week and they could accommodate more young people if they had better facilities. We are always deeply impressed by the dedication of the leaders, who after a day at work, volunteer at least one evening every week to provide activities for the young people of Ampthill.
